I figured I would share my finds and creations with you each Friday. (yes yes it's another daily post but I promise I am going to keep this one up, I hope).
This week I did a real easy peasy update on some desk organizers. I found these two great wire organizers at Goodwill for $2, much cheaper than Walmarts $5 or so a piece.
I stupidly forgot to take a before picture of the two pieces. Can we say oops? I did however take a before picture of what my storage area on my desk looked like before my new pretties were added.
Can we say yuck, icky and down right horrible. It was one hot mess.
But after some yellow spray paint, some pink and white ribbon and scrabble letters and some rummage through my stash of stuff that I just can't throw away it now looks like this.
The pink bucket on the left I got as part of a Christmas gift this year. It had some cute little things in it and I couldn't toss the bucket. The pink and white ribbon the the junk tray came from the pink bucket also. The shiny pink thing on the left is a table top $1 balloon holder from the party supply section of Walmart. It was leftover from Kyla's birthday this year. I used some pliers to curl the stem down, and I can now use it to hold photos, notes, inspirational pictures and etc. The scrabble letters are from an old scrabble game that was missing lots of letters. Instead of tossing them I have hoarded them for uses like this.

I am so happy with how they turned out, and they give my desk such a fun pop of color. I actually want to sit at it now and blog.
